What is Shikhar and why you should watch it
Shikhar is a Hindi word that means "peak" or "summit". It is also the title of a 2005 Bollywood thriller film directed by John Matthew Matthan and starring Ajay Devgn, Shahid Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, and Amrita Rao. The film is loosely based on the Hollywood classic The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. It tells the story of two men with contrasting personalities and ideologies who clash over a business deal that involves building a skyscraper in Mumbai. The plot of Shikhar
The film begins with Gaurav Gupta acquiring a piece of land from a tribal community in exchange for building a hospital for them. Jaidev is unaware of Gaurav's intentions and agrees to work for him. He also falls in love with Natasha (Bipasha Basu), Gaurav's girlfriend and business partner.
Meanwhile, Gaurav faces opposition from Madhavi (Amrita Rao), an idealistic journalist who exposes his illegal activities and corruption. She also happens to be Jaidev's childhood friend and love interest. She tries to warn Jaidev about Gaurav's true nature, but he refuses to believe her.
